The FY 2015 Omnibus Appropriations bill, signed by President Obama on December 16, 2014, suspends the two 34-hour restart restrictions for which compliance began on July 1, 2013.
Enforcement is being suspended for these two restrictions:
- A 34-hour restart break must include two 1:00 a.m.-5:00 a.m. periods
- A 34-hour restart can only be taken once every 7 days (168 hours)
